I made this last night in an effort to bring something sort of like Chicago-style deep-dish to my dorm. It turned out really gooey, and technically there was no crust, just some polenta on the bottom, but I tried really hard with the sausage patty and the home-made stewed tomatoes on top!!
I was impressed because I think the leftovers actually look like Lou Malnati’s. Vaguely.
